Education Minister @paulgivan was on the road today visiting schools including @KillowenPS@StBrigidsDerry and Holy Child Primary School.
The Minister toured the schools, enjoyed music performances and met with Principals, staff and pupils.
He also engaged in useful discussions on a range of areas including accommodation needs and specialist provision.

Zara McCallion & Marcas Ó Mianáin, Year 14 students at St Brigid's College in #Derry speaking to @irish_news at the @NewIrelandComm school engagement event in the city today.
Zara said the most important part of the event for her was "talking about what our future holds after we get our degrees, how are we going to get housing, a job, what opportunities are going to be here for us here in Derry."
Marcas said: "I thought it was good they are looking to build on our university in Derry, to give us more opportunity to study degrees in the area."

ALT We welcome the news that the Translink strike has been averted.
This means that all Translink bus services, including school buses will operate as normal tomorrow and for the rest of this week.
Therefore, pupils should travel via their usual transport arrangements.

Great news for both but in particular @StBrigidsDerry working with the school it was the only post primary on the City that had yet to benefit from an upgrade and had outgrown their facilities.
