The fabulous Budapest Café Orchestra will be performing in Tain on the 5th June 2026. You'll journey from a desperately tragic evocative heart-rending ancient Jewish melody to a dance from Romania or Russia and all the fiery exuberance that goes along.

It's official the St Duthac Book & Arts Festival is officially recognised as part of Highland Culture. On a recent visit to the newly re-furbished Inverness Castle we were delighted to see our 2021 brochure on display alongside Nairn Book Festival and Dornoch Fibre Festival.

On Sunday 8th March we marked St Duthac Day with our first event of 2026 and welcomed Scottish author Shona Maclean aka SG Maclean to speak to a full house about her latest book the Cromarty Library Circle.

We held our first group meeting of 2026 on the 27th January and are excited about the plans for the September 2026 festival. We can't wait to share the programme, which is coming together nicely. We are also planning St Duthac Day event on 8/3/2026. News coming soon.

Author, of Skirly Crag, and shepherdess Helen Percy is popping up in the festival bookshop on Saturday 13th Sept from 11 a.m. Helen Percy's journey from a Church of Scotland minister to a shepherdess is a testament to her resilience and adaptability.

The Wanderer returns. The first author in the 2025 Festival line up has been announced. We're pleased to welcome back author Jess Smith to our wee festival. Jess also appeared at the Festival in 2022 Jess will be appearing on the 9th of September at 19:30 in the Tain Golf Club.
