Such a happy time at Forget Me Not Cafe trying out Tudor Dancing, with expert piano accompaniment from Marilyn. Lots of people had a go - and it was great fun whether you took part or just watched it all happening round you!
On 23rd May, Katie Singleton and David Mayer were married at St Edward's. The very first wedding ever to take place in the church. A wonderful day - congratulations to them both. We look forward to many more wedding services at our lovely church!
Back to normal temperatures this week, but lots of excitement with the Forget Me Nots Beetle Drive! Some very artistic beetles, and lots of competitive spirit. We found time for a word search, quiz and bingo as well!
An extremely hot day, but quite a bit cooler inside the church for Forget Me Not Cafe today! Some beautiful Duets from Suzanne Moore Osley and Caroline Hays, with Jayne Thomas. Thanks to our helpers who braved the heat of the kitchen to bring food and drink, or moved the chairs.
The Telling are bringing "Purcell, The Musical" to St Edward's on Saturday (16 May) at 7.30pm. There are limited tickets left so book ASAP from thetelling.co.uk/events/purc…
We have just launched to Roath Local History Society YouTube channel. Our first video is a stroll along Roath Park Lake promenade looking at the Captain Scott legacy.

Another lovely session of Forget Me Not Cafe at St Edward's. This week we were entertained by some lovely music from pianist Jimmy Alderson who is a masters student studying music performance at Cardiff University.
What an amazing birthday party! Forget Me Not Cafe is NINE years old. A special party entertained by Mark G – dancing from the word go, a fantastic experience of 60s music. Thank you to all the people who worked so hard to make this happen.
Lots of people, and lots of fun at Forget Me Not Cafe this afternoon. Some great music from the University of the Third Age Ukuleles (whose numbers have expanded a lot since they first came to entertain us) and a really good sing-a-long and dancing.
