We've been painting and planting some bulbs in our Wellies and Wheelbarrows group using some botanical paintings as inspiration - we're enjoying the beautiful colours and looking forward to seeing some growth.

We took a moment to enjoy the small amount of snow cover in the St Nicks garden last week. Our lovely tansy beetle sculpture looks right at home and even more fantastic with it's clothes (casing) on too. We should probably give them a name...any suggestions?

There's no getting away from the #BlackFriday hype. Try not to get caught up in the excitement of getting a good deal & waste money and resources on things you don't need. A helpful reminder is to ask yourself these three questions:
"Do I need this?, do I want this and can I afford it" (thanks Martin Lewis!) before you make any purchase.
If you have done your research and now is the right time to buy do please consider setting up an account with Give as you Live & nominate us as your chosen charity.

Beautiful clear pinky skies, not slippy, but verrrrry nippy. Even my hand was steaming! Along Hull road, through Osbaldwick, and around @StNicksFields Happy Thursday! 😀🏃♀️ #York#Running
A big thank you to St Luke's Church for recently nominating St Nicks as one of their chosen charities of the year. We are always grateful for your support 💚 #greenheartofYork
Gentle reminder that we need windows removing from envelopes to be able to guarantee our paper will be recycled!

A common sight at St Nicks, the humble robin, our unofficial national bird and gardener's friend. Despite their cute appearance, robins are fearlessly territorial so you don't often see two robins together (unless it's nesting season.)

It was fab to see you all at Nature Adventurers on Saturday! We had lots of fun den building, fire lighting, autumn crafting, hammock swinging and playing in the woods. Can't wait for the next one (Saturday 14th Dec.)

We spent an enjoyable last session with the Foss Park allotment group before taking a break over winter. We took cuttings from this beautiful rose bush at the Ecotherapy Holgate Allotment and planted them up with the patients from Foss Park Hospital.
