Smallville | S04E17 "Onyx" | 8.8/10 | [REVIEW]
Real talk: I love Rosenbaum's Lex. Outside Gene Hackman, Michael's Lex Luthor is without doubt the best representation of Superman's primary arch-nemesis we are ever likely to get.

"Brought to you by Petrox: A Weyland-Yutani Subsidiary Company"
Before Carter Burke (Aliens), there was Fred S. Wilson, and he's just as slimy as Carter EVER was.
Charles Grodin played this slimeball with the slimiest of slimes. He deserves the ending HE got.
On to the rest of the movie!
I love me some Jeff Bridges. Always have, always will, and 1970s Bridges is an absolute dreamboat.
Same goes for Jessica Lange, who is, was, and always WILL be a supremely talented actress and VERY easy on the eyes. Her portrayal as Dwan adds some much needed depth to this movie.
Why? Because the rest of it's pretty dang awful. The practical effects really didn't age well, Rick Baker (the actor in the Kong suit) was lied to and remained uncredited and ...
I could go on. At the end of the day, Lange's performance moved this flick from camp to tragedy, and it works well enough.
I didn't hate this movie, I just remember it more fondly.
As always, feel free to jump in on the challenge. I'll post one review a day for every movie listed in the image above. If you've seen it and want to add your own review, feel free.
Or if you just want to talk about MY review, feel free to do that as well.
