Yesterday, a @ColumbusPolice officer was injured in the line of duty. We pray for his full recovery and are thinking of his family, fellow officers, and friends during this very difficult time. We are deeply grateful for his service, courage, and commitment to protecting others.
.@DublinPolice reached out after a young girlâs bicycle was damaged beyond repair. Her hardworking single mom couldnât afford to replace it, but thanks to our donors, we were able to pick out a beautiful new bike & helmet. Now sheâs back riding to school & visiting friends. đ˛đ¤
Our Books and Badges series continued on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Lakewood Catholic Academy. This program features our Neighborhood Officers as guest readers for local first graders, and the students can ask the officers questions. Afterward, each student gets a book to take home.
On this Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we pause to say thank you. Thank you for your service, your commitment, and the steady presence you provide every day. You are valued and loved, always.

Weâre devastated by the loss of Officer Phillip Wagner of Lorain PD, who died today from injuries sustained in yesterdayâs ambush. Officers Brent Payne and Peter Gale were also wounded. Weâre holding them in our hearts and sending love to their families, friends, and community.
Our continued prayers are with the three Lorain Police Officers ambushed yesterdayâtwo of whom were simply eating lunch.
This violent act is a sobering reminder of the dangers law enforcement face every day in service to their communities. We stand with the Lorain Police.
