In honor of #nationaljerseyday, I have photo documented some of my collection from the closet. These are either team issues or game used to the best of my knowledge and do not include any replicas I have. This is the UCF collection.

News: Cody Campbell says Texas Tech would take legal action if schools or conferences decide not to play the Red Raiders. "Guess what? That’s collusion. That’s an antitrust violation. So have fun with that one, guys" he told @DanDakich. More: nytimes.com/athletic/7349097…

Texas Tech has a choice. No one is forcing the Red Raiders to play Brendan Sorsby. They are not backed into a corner. They can take his recovery seriously and support him by keeping him around/engaged with the program but NOT play him in games. It shouldn't be a tough call.

As Big 12 presidents consider sanctions, Texas Tech reps notified the league that any penalty will be met with legal action, sources tell @YahooSports. Tech is exploring legal avenues with noted attorney Jeff Kessler, including seeking a second injunction bit.ly/4v1ghqC

I understand why people are uncomfortable with the Brendan Sorsby situation. Betting on sports as a college athlete is serious. Betting connected to your own team creates an obvious integrity concern. Nobody has to minimize that. But there is another side to this that college football people should at least be honest enough to acknowledge. When a player becomes part of your program, he becomes part of your football family. That does not mean you excuse everything. It does not mean accountability disappears. It means you do not abandon him the second the situation becomes difficult, public, or uncomfortable. There is a difference between defending the person and defending the mistake. Texas Tech is in an impossible spot. Deep down, they may have hoped the final ruling would remove the decision from their hands. Exhaust every option, support the player, let the process play out, and if he is ruled ineligible, accept it. That is the cleanest outcome for a program trying to balance loyalty, discipline, public pressure, and competitive integrity. But now the court has ruled that he is legally allowed to play. That changes the structure of the decision. If Texas Tech turns its back on him now, what message does that send to every player and family they recruit? That we will fight for you until the pressure gets too loud? That we will call you family when you are producing, but distance ourselves when standing beside you becomes inconvenient? If I were recruiting against Texas Tech and they abandoned him after he was legally cleared to play, I would use that every time. Not because the mistake does not matter, but because trust matters. Families want to know what happens when their son is injured, struggling, accused, embarrassed, or sitting in the middle of a situation nobody wants attached to the program. Accountability and loyalty are not opposites. You can believe justice should be served. You can believe the integrity of the game matters. You can believe gambling violations deserve real consequence. You can also believe that a program should stand by its people through the full process, not just through the easy parts. That is the hard part of family. You do not only fight for your people when the optics are clean. You fight for them through the good and the bad, while still demanding accountability, treatment, discipline, and truth. Texas Tech may not like the position it is in. Most programs would not. But once he is legally allowed to play and remains part of the Red Raider family, abandoning him strictly because of social pressure would send its own message. And that message may be harder to overcome than the controversy itself.

Big 12 ADs tell @YahooSports they’ve had “serious” talks on not playing Texas Tech. One SEC AD says there should be conversations about not playing Tech “in any sports.” The Brendan Sorsby ruling has left an industry jarred. “It’s total f***** bullshit.” bit.ly/4uWicN7

Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt: “As we have said before, we do not believe that the circumstances of Brendan’s case warranted permanent ineligibility. As he returns to our football program, we remain committed to supporting Brendan's recovery and ensuring his compliance with the court’s order. A comprehensive support structure, including clinical care, monitoring, and compliance checks, will remain fully in place for the duration of Brendan’s time as a student at Texas Tech.”

Unbelievable. Brendan Sorsby admits to gambling on college football, even on his own team, yet his "punishment" is missing two non-conference games. You've set a dangerous precedent for college athletes and sports gambling.

I had to put my greyhound down today. She was a fresh 13 years old and a good girl. Ironically, today is three years to the day her best friend, my parents' greyhound, passed away. It's our fourth greyhound over the years, but this part never gets easier.

I'm beyond floored and humbled at the responses to my post yesterday. People far and wide that I've never interacted with reached out with condolences and sympathies. I wasn't expecting anything, and seeing the best parts of humanity reach out brought my wife and me to tears. We're very appreciative. Our greyhound was an integral part of our family, and we've been together for nearly nine years after she had a good racing career. We found osteosarcoma back in February, and the cancer made its big move this last week. She went from moving around at 90% or so to barely moving with a bad limp and lots of pain meds in just a few days. It was definitely a very tough day, but I'm very proud of my daughter. At eight years old, she is wise beyond her years. Her friend said she was sorry her dog died, but my daughter corrected her and said that she didn't die, but went to the Rainbow Bridge. It's really helped her cope with the loss. She's never known life without her big four-legged sister watching over her.

2026 #CFF QB Rankings 🔥 ● If you've never played College Fantasy Football you should start this season and join one of my leagues on Fantrax. ● I usually don't draft a QB early on but Brad Jackson should put up massive numbers for the Bobcats. I'm very high on Chambliss & Mestemaker and lower than most on Arch at #4. ● Dampier will provide unbelievable production as a runner and I have Leavitt 6th because usually Lane Kiffin QBs will put up big numbers in CFF. ● I'm higher on Josh Hoover than most of the industry at #7, While he's no Fernando Mendoza he is a Gun Slinger who can put up big fantasy numbers and he has two of the best WRs in #CFB. ● Mateer, Weigman, Szarka, Reed & Mensah all have Top 5 potential. Mensah has some incredible talent at WR, I have him 12th just because the Canes could be very productive on the ground with the elite RB corps they have in 2026. ● My range in #CFF is right here, 15-30 for my QBs. I load up at RB/WR/FLEX then get a QB late. Veltkamp at 15 and Minicucci at 16 both have potential to be Top 10 by seasons end. You can't go wrong with Dante Moore at 17, Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele at 23 or Julian Sayin at 24. ● Alonza Barnett at 21 is a player with a high ceiling and I believe Jackson Arnold at 28 could be a quality sleeper pick. ● I have CJ Carr at 33, If Notre Dame has to rely on him more this season because the rushing attack isn't as good then he has Top 15 potential. ● If you want a high upside late round pick, take Anthony Colandrea or Colton Joseph.
