Unfortunately, due to delays in production, the release has been pushed back to July, but you can still pre-order if this sounds like a book you might enjoy. Thank you Will for the well thought out breakdown 🙌
HE WHO ATE THE WILD by G.J. Terral is a bold and fearless exploration of family, identity, and survival. The Miyazaki-inspired allegory (out June 26) is a rousing success. My review: fanfiaddict.com/review-he-wh… @LordTBR_FFA @Stat_Mo1

One of my first experiences in the indie author community was seeing my cover lose a cover contest to an AI book cover despite there being a no-AI rule. Artists came out and said “that’s AI” and authors… refused to believe it. The artists were disparaged. It was ugly. And it🧵

Do you like poetic prose? Introspective characters? Are you interested in non-standard fantasy settings crafted with respect and a love for the influences ?Perhaps simply supporting smaller artists/creators trying to break out in a sea of releases? Well, I've got an upcoming release for you available for pre-order. Coming late June. Ku leaves home with his missing mother's rules and his dead father’s sword, venturing north into the unknown. Demons, spirits, and Gods all haunt his steps, and the closer he gets to the truth, the further from himself he becomes. His name forgotten. Can he find his mother, or will the wild consume him?

I realized I haven't released stats in awhile, but the anniversary of Bloodless has come and passed, and with He Who Ate the Wild hot on the horizon, I thought sharing some humble stats for the Binding Tenets Trilogy would be cool. Bloodwoven has the benefit of being the first in the series and having audio (but Bloodbound is in the works). The graphs don't account for direct sales/events or freebie copies, but those numbers are all pretty good. I started in 2024 after turning down a revise and resubmit (of my bio) with a goal of dropping a new book every 6 months. A pace I've more or less kept, even if some of the books were novellas, like The Not So Mundane Mysteries of Norman Melamourne. I'm beyond thankful for the friends and fans I've made along the way, and if things go well, my "new release every 6 months" goal will continue to be met this year with a possible fall release of my long teased Cracks of the Deepest Black-- cover reveal sometime in September (I think) Is it too many books from me? Maybe lol. Do I care? A bit yes, tbh. Will I stop? Possibly, but as long as even the shadow of demand is there, I'll keep trying to put out fantasy books that were a joy to create. Just this week, for two very different books, I got messages saying F*** Aemun and F*** Boko, two highly different characters. I love it. Thank you everyone who has made this dream a reality. I'm going to keep grinding, writing, and hopefully making characters you want to curse out.
