Genuinely unfair that Ohtani has to be compared to guys from before indoor plumbing.
Those guys were built different. Ohtani would get lost on his way to the outhouse.
Shohei Ohtani accumulated .5 bWAR in yesterday's game.
For reference, he accumulated .75 in his crazy 50/50 game.
For more reference, Leon Cadore had 1.45 bWAR in 1920 when he pitched a 26-inning shutout.
Shohei still has a way to go.

Wander Franco avoided jail, but he will also avoid the Hall of Pretty Good. The HoPG’s Instagram broadcast channel voted in favor of banning Franco from the HoPG by a vote of 1,130-60.
While this will seem obvious to most, I received a dozen DMs in the last hour asking about his status, so I’d like to put any speculation to rest: Wander Franco is banned from the Hall of Pretty Good.
