A residential house at Shikuto Village, Dhansiripar, was completely gutted by fire on 21 Mar 2026 at around 17:00 hours due to a suspected short circuit.
No casualties or injuries were reported. Public is advised to regularly inspect electricals wiring and follow safety measures.

A house belonging to Hokhevi Sema of Khehokhu village was destroyed in a fire incident at Khehokhu village junction along the 4-Lane NH in Niuland district. The house was occupied by tenant Amiruddin, who runs a food hotel from the premises.
