This international coverage of the World Cup in small town America is devastating to the legacy media narrative

Some kid watched that game from home or in the stadium tonight and had a life-altering moment. Because of this game and this World Cup, he will represent perhaps an even better USMNT in the future. That’s how important this World Cup is.

Que no quepa duda de que si el fútbol hubiera sido el principal deporte histórico de Estados Unidos, hoy ellos tendrían más mundiales que Brasil

I know Paraguay, homefield, etc. but that was literally the best half of World Cup soccer for the USMNT in 96 years.

As a Japanese, I can't wrap my head around what's happening in the UK. Hundreds of thousands of young girls raped by grooming gangs. Fathers who reported it got arrested. Citizens told to stay quiet. If this happened here in Japan, it would already be a civil war. Why isn't the British military staging a coup? What are they even doing? This makes absolutely no sense to us. Can any British person explain this madness?

In one night, Braden Montgomery made his MLB debut and collected his: - first hit - first RBI - first home run - first walk-off - first walk-off home run

Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date you’ve ever been on they’ve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own

Houston Dynamo are doing it again: I thought during the Fall that their 2011 age group might be weaker, but oh no, this club doesn’t really have weak age groups anymore. I’ve seen real improvement from like virtually every prospect in the age group this season. They might not have a true top prospect in this group, but between Oscar Olsen, Chris Gonzalez, Peyton James, Dax Munson, and Will Moddelmog they have a bunch of guys who aren’t too far off that. Chances are at least one or two will pan out. There are others too such as Kenzy Pierre, Gideon Gomez, Justus Morris, Ryan Truby who also show solid potential. One thing I really like about this academy is the kids are athletic. A lot of natural athletes. A lot of people will roll their eyes, but there are some other academies that’ll win a lot more youth games and the pro upside of their players just isn’t the same. It’s funny because Dynamo fans think I’m obsessed with hating on their club. No, I really am not. I just wish they’d realize they’re mediocre at the first team level. Whatever they’re trying there doesn’t work. Lean into that you arguably have like a top 3 talent pool in the country and start integrating these talents into your first team. I’m not saying integrate the 2011’s, but this club has long past proven that the good age groups are a fluke. It’s 2007, it’s 2008, it’s 2009, it’s 2010, now it’s 2011. It’s proven. They’re becoming a youth juggernaut. The talent is there. Start utilizing it in your first team.
