This MoU provides a framework through which SASA and Stats SA can work together to promote research, knowledge exchange, professional development, and capacity building. It creates opportunities for statisticians from academia, government, and industry to collaborate on issues of national importance. This partnership is not merely about two institutions working together. #YouthHealthSA || Young men are disproportionately affected by non-natural causes of death. Among youth aged 15–29 years, about half (47,7%) of all deaths are attributed to non-natural causes. The highest proportion is seen among males aged 20–24 years, where 61,7% of deaths fall into this category. Among females, the peak occurs earlier, in the 15–19 age group, where 32,0% of deaths are linked to non-natural causes, largely driven by external factors, such as assault.
