Trying to make some sense on 🇷🇴 politics. Nicusor Dan went in with a stupid bet trying to cajole AUR voters and perpetuate the system.
The problem; AUR despises him his voters feel alienated.
He now tries to make a party of sorts from PNL and USR.

Fed up with the current Romanian political crisis.
I watch it and evaluate positively Emil Constantinescu and the politicians of the 90's who swallowed the bitter pill and did the right things.
They paid the political price but the country went on the way to the EU and NATO.

After the cohorts of bitter old men and women that will fill Romania another fact will be a more Pentecostal society. Romania has already more Protestants than Catholics and the trend is growing.

The Pentecostal are the fastest growing Church with members in all social classes from marginals to high level politicians. There are already regions where the Orthodox Church feels the pressure of this competition.

Long time ago the Adventists and Baptists were the main denominations. Now they look more or less ossified and self complacent. A Baptist friend told me he went independent after his Church voted with Georgescu.
