if you own a business that does content in any way/shape/form hire youtubers, not influencers, youtubers “why would they stay if they’re successful creators?” most youtubers are entrepreneurs without even knowing what the term entrepreneur means building is ingrained in their dna, they live for it to top it off, they have a level of platform mastery most hires wouldn’t, to understand youtube means you understand how to make a video perform anywhere probably

my best hire was a youtuber who gets a million long form views a month, still does another one has done youtube full-time for years & has infinite motion in his niche they both still learn from me & i learn from them daily now they’re both basically my partners we show RESULTS (along with the rest of the killers on our team)

here are the realtime views on one of our compilation channels problem: your videos sit there making money over time, eventually flattening out & making you little to no money solution: turn them into compilation videos (with higher RPMs) on a brand new channel with fresh packaging that’s similar to your current style outcome: 💰

problem: i’d rather put that time towards making my main channel videos the best they could possibly be solution: we’ll run the compilation channel for you on a split so you can focus on your main channel, the better it does, the better the compilation can do problem: i don’t upload enough videos on my main channel, i can’t come up with ideas/manage my team alone solution: we can also handle ideation/strategy/creative management so all you have to put most of your attention towards is recording more videos, that way a compilation channel can start/thrive all you have to do is hit me up

iman ghadzi is great but i firmly believe that he single handedly destroyed the smma model & i literally own a youtube production/distribution agency when you start doing work in youtube for the money you already lost should be a bi product of your love of the game now we have a bunch of random fellas who've got a total of 1 million views under their belt saying they own the best youtube marketing agencies of all time chatgpt scripts (cool if used as an assist, terrible on its own), mid-tier thumbnails, ideation solely based on copying others skill issue

i always hated onboardings felt like i was too good for them reality is they're usually (usually...) filled with tons of value making one right now with 20 pages for all of our compilation channel managers & it literally breaks down all of the sauce strategy, efficiency, etc.

Humor in YouTube content is chronically undervalued in the "strategy" conversation. Everyone talks about hooks, thumbnails, retention. Fewer people talk about the fact that if someone laughs in the first 90 seconds of your video, they're going to watch the whole thing. Laughter is the most powerful retention signal there is because it creates affinity. You don't leave a video made by someone you like. You don't unsubscribe from someone who makes you feel good. If you're funny, use it earlier and more aggressively than you probably are now.

i'm currently training a few core members of the team on how to fall into their roles as leaders, here's what it boils down to: - research what you do excessively to be able to answer questions, but you can't just answer questions, you need data, justification, don't just say "this works", say "this person did this exact thing & here's the result, here's what i learned from it" - be critical yet understanding, don't tolerate nonsense but understand where it stems from & help guide your team towards cutting it out - lead by example, get your hands dirty when you're training others, they not only respect you more, but learn way quicker - talk, a lot, set a standard for communication - find where someone shines & help them shine brighter in that role, i used to work for a huge youtuber & we decided to do a compilation, since i had already understood how to optimize a compilation video (beyond what we do now), he let me take full control of the project, it now has 21 million views to add to that last point, i used to think people sucked, the reality was i sucked at finding where they truly thrive. had a guy who sucked when i hired him as an editor so i didn't trust to hire him for anything else, eventually caved & hired him for a filmer position, he crushed it daily

need literal killers i don’t really hire for experience i hire for hunger with hunger comes experience, quick experience = ego usually we’re scaling faster then we ever have & we need hands on board who’re ready to build WITH us, not for us for context i believe in a very thin work life balance this doesn’t work for everyone & i understand if it works for you though… dm me

almost 100,000 views 1 hour long compilation video costed the creator $0 (actually, it costed the creator whatever he paid his team to make the 4 videos we compiled together from his main channel, but he would’ve did that anyways) it’s like renting out a room in your house free money for something you would’ve paid for regardless

The viral video is a real thing. It also isn't really a strategy. Going viral happens when a video lands in a specific context, gets shared outside YouTube, hits a moment in culture, or simply gets picked up by the algorithm and grows exponentially. Most of the inputs to virality are unpredictable. What you can control is building a channel that's set up to handle viral moments well: great packaging on older videos, a clear channel identity, a library that converts new viewers into subscribers. Build the foundation that takes advantage of a viral moment if it comes. Don't build toward the moment itself.

still cooking with the youtube ideation/strategy side of things one of our team members handled this video doing good, however… pissed him off that it’s not at 50% retention solution? he’s relentlessly studying every single thing he could’ve did better, not just “accepting it” that’s how we operate with all of our clients value over everything

it’s really all about having fun and most gurus would probably approve of this thumbnail too “he seems really mad, that paired with the title drives curiosity!” “it’s colorful & grabs attention!” raw reality is that it’s just funny & the title & thumbnail are hand-in-hand
favorite part about compilation channels is the fact that you can actually experiment with your packaging like this thumbnail is hilarious yet it’s crushing he couldn’t believe it when i asked for the hd file

compilation channels can be “free money” if they’re started with a strategy behind them you can rely on your presence & treat whether or not it works as a gamble, yes but why? the best way to build one is with strong packaging/ideation that’s strategy not pointless uploading
