We went on bike rides, explored woods, played Gameboys, football, card games. Kids today just don't know what fun without internet access actually is.
What I do oppose is the obvious government overreach, loss of privacy and kids not being able to research things for exams.
I am strongly against the ban, but not for these reasons. I grew up in the late 90s/early 2000s. We didn't have phones nor any of the things you mention as we live in, what was at the time, a small village but we were never bored. We made our own fun.

The BBC was right to raise this question and you can tell it must've hit a nerve for Britt to react that way. I personally feel the movie should have been an American exclusive or, at the very least, redubbed and reedited for the UK. (1/2)
As a child watching this film in the cinema, I left with so many questions. Why did the characters sound different? What was Shining Time Station? And they were questions no-one could answer. I enjoyed it, but it never felt like a Thomas movie to me. (2/2)
