USA women's hockey gold medalist @HilaryKnight describes her team's relationship with the USA men's team as one with a "genuine level of support and respect" that's being overshadowed by a "quick lapse." "Our achievements shouldn't be overshadowed by anything else other than how great they are."

As a lifelong #hockey fan and #HockeyDaughter #HockeySister, & #HockeyAunt to two amazing nieces who play DI college & high school hockey, I wish everyone would pause the divisiveness and let both the Men’s and Women’s Olympic Hockey Teams savor these moments. The talent, dedication and family sacrifice it takes to secure these victories is no small feat. The players deserve to enjoy every moment of this lifetime goal. Let us instead refocus on those overtime goals that led us to collectively rejoice for the players who earned gold medals for the USA at the 2026 #Olympics! 🇺🇸🥇🏒
