Traditional mixers will have a static board of every control possible but are fixed to those specific controls - there's no flexibility, it makes a product huge, and gives you analysis paralysis when trying to control your audio.
With Stream Deck as your front end, you have the options to add the same controls assigned to LCD keys or dials as you would on a traditional mixer, but you get to pick and choose to only the controls you need at your finger tips, so you cut through the noise.
But more than that - using pages, profiles, smart profiles, multi actions, etc. Your single Stream Deck device doesn't JUST control your audio - but controls every other aspect of your stream. Your camera controls, lighting, your OBS scenes, your chat, etc. Everything's centralized in one place.
And the best part is upgradeability is far more flexible. If you bought a GoXLR, when you're upgrading your audio, you're replacing the whole GoXLR. When you use Stream Deck and Wave XLR - you can pair different models together, and upgrade as you need, and only replace what you need. AKA I can start with SD and Wave XLR, 2 years later I might upgrade to Wave XLR Pro, and then 2 years later I could upgrade my SD to a XL. Or I could mix my SD XL with a Wave XLR MK.2. Any combo I wish. It makes it a lot less fiscally daunting to change my setup.
