Stunning views of the Aurora Borealis in South Oxfordshire... Especially special watching the lights dance across the sky with family who are visiting. Isn't nature breathtaking!
How do you improve on spending special and rare time with close family? Answer - get to see the aurora borealis with them as well! FYI we are in south Oxfordshire - wow!!
A fascinating tour of @isisneutronmuon today by No1 son @StephenCLH We leant a lot (but can’t remember most of it😉). A wonderful facility that the UK should be very proud of.
Great having you visit @isisneutronmuon for a thoroughly enjoyable experiment. Looking forward to seeing you next time! Now just all that data to analyse 😉
Come and join me, Jamie Mann, Paul Race and @Reyher_UofBVet in @Bristol_Vets @BristolUni for an exciting PhD studying neglected tick-borne pathogens!

Spent the last week back at @ILLGrenoble collecting some exciting data in collaboration with @TeamPerrier. Enormous thanks to newly-qualified Langmuir trough experts @MasetRamon and @laroquesophie93 for all their hard work, and everyone at the ILL who helped this expt happen.
I've spent a much appreciated week off clambering up all the local hills I can find in the most ineligant fashion possible. Highlight was finding my spirit animal on the Malvern Hills (excuse the state of the bipedal specimen)
The results of a collaboration between @TeamPerrier and Team Stavros have been published over the festive period in @J_A_C_S! 🥳
Congratulations to all authors involved, see first author Qiao's tweet and a link to the paper below 😀 #happynewyear
Wondering what cyclic peptide-polymer conjugates could do? We recently reported a supramolecular strategy of fabricating efficient artificial light-harvesting systems based on these conjugates. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jac…@TeamPerrier
A surreal few days as I say farewell to @TeamPerrier. Not how I imagined the end of my time in the group, but huge thanks to everyone for a great couple of years. Nonetheless, very excited to join @isisneutronmuon in the reflectivity group looking at all things soft at surfaces!
Our latest paper is finally out, investigating the adsorption of nanodiscs to lipid bilayers. Great project with @T_dafforn and @kjedler with reflectometry performed on @POLREF@isisneutronmuon. Thanks to all involved in helping this see the light of day! doi.org/10.1016/j.jcis.2020.…
