Facts:
Crime rates have gone down in BC over the past 5 years. And, the government has worked hard to secure needed bail reforms with the federal government to combat repeat violent offenders.
No one is going to lose their house to indigenous people, contrary to the rhetoric. DRIPA has nothing to do with private property cases including Cowichan. Those decisions are based on section 35 of the Constitution Act and Supreme Court of Canada cases. A KC lawyer must know this.
Increased longterm debt is required to finance the building of essential infrastructure including hospitals, schools, roads, energy infrastructure and housing. For 16 years, the previous government failed to invest in the needed infrastructure, leaving this government with a huge infrastructure deficit to resolve.
Kerry-Lynne Findlay, fear mongering, misinformation and negative rhetoric will not make BC a better place for its citizens.
Driving the economy with key investments, improving the services that people need and making life more affordable are what is important.
It’s easy to be a critic, it’s much harder to roll up your sleeves and do the hard work.
