Today I spoke to a colleague who had worked with me in this ED when I was 1yr qualified - I asked his honest opinion if he ever imagined we’d be stood here with me as a matron discussing Departmental Standards…. He said in 2013 he knew I had some growing up to do……

….but from his observation over the last 4 weeks of me being in the department he can see me leading the team, improving standards and he knew I had grown up, learnt a lot but still maintained my positivity and sense of humour 🏥🚑🥹 #proud #evolutionofanurse #ED
