Today’s story behind the numbers: This
#FBI stops cold more potential terrorist attacks on this country.
On Monday, Mohamed Sagha of northeastern New Jersey was charged with allegedly attempting to provide material support and resources to the terrorist organization ISIS. In December, Sagha had connected online with a confidential human source who he thought was an ISIS fighter in Syria and began chatting about planning violent attacks on U.S. targets.
Sagha expressed interest in assisting with an ISIS attack or launching his own, possibly on a National Guard facility or Jewish house of worship, while sharing pictures and videos of actual locations. He talked repeatedly about visiting ISIS territory and even made an unsuccessful attempt to do so. He also purchased and shipped encryption technology to the source designed to help the ISIS “brothers” mask their identities and locations and conceal their online activities.
This is law enforcement at its best —stopping deadly attacks before they happen—and it follows on the heels of another FBI investigation that led to the pre-emptive arrest last week of three ISIS supporters who allegedly sought to attack and kill members of our military—as well as the four terror attacks this FBI stopped in just one month at the end of 2025.
Special thanks to
@FBINewark, NYPD, and the Wayne Police Department for their work here to save lives and protect the homeland.
