Some of you may remember seeing this earlier in the summer… Louie, our smaller twin boy, died on 12th October after 104 days in @BWC_NHS neonatal…we are utterly devastated. The staff at Birmingham Women’s were amazing…

I’ve been an #avfc fan for nearly 44 years! Being born a few days before we won the European Cup. Sadly, I can tell you the outcomes from today and Thursday coming are utterly predictable from us! I may be pessimistic, but I also think it’s realistic….

Are you ready to become a Well School? The Well Schools Accreditation recognises schools that meet the Well Schools Framework.
The process involves a thorough self-assessment, incorporating your Well Check responses and supported by evidence, which trained Well Schools peer reviewers then evaluate. Schools can achieve 3, 4, or 5-star ratings. ⭐
The accreditation is valid for two years, after which schools refresh and resubmit to maintain their Well School status.
Have you completed your free Well Check yet? If not, learn more below or get started now.

One of the most damaging trends of recent years is that adapting curriculum is somehow lowering expectations. I’ve had conversations with smart arse advisors or inspectors who, noticing some children doing something different, have commented…
This! A thousand times this.
I’ve posted about never truly being able to switch off or be uncontactable before. This, for me, is one of the hardest aspects of being a headteacher. It’s not ok or sustainable.
Great move, Wales.
🏴 Heads in Wales are now not to be contacted at weekends or in the holidays – could other parts of the UK bring in the same policy?
