A1: Belongingness begins with valuing EVERYONE, including their backgrounds, beliefs, and feelings. Even if we don't agree with everything someone believes, we need to respect the person. #EinsteinFellows22
A1: I've had many great learning experiences out of the classroom. Hard to pick a most meaningful 1... Instead, I'd encourage all science teachers to look for all the experiences they can. It's helps u stay sharp and inspired which then benefits your students. #EinsteinFellows21
A3: Being part of @AEF_Program helped me helped me focus more beyond my own classroom. As teachers, we need to help other teachers more & more as we grow. That's why I moved from the classroom to be able to work with teachers. #EinsteinFellows21
A2: Building a strong network of teacher friends is SO important! The best way to grow your network is to take advantage of opportunities (e.g. @PolarTREC & @AEF_Program). The friends you make through these programs will benefit you for the rest of your career!

A1: Teacher prep programs need to be strong in both content and teaching strategies. They need to be connected with awesome teachers. You can learn more from a great teacher than you can from a great professor. #EinsteinFellows21
Happy #NationalAviationDay ✈️
Orville, the flying squirrel loves to fly & wants to show you all about flight & the supersonic X-59 experimental aircraft.
With this @NASASTEM activity you can follow along & become an official NASA junior pilot!

A3: Lots of great examples of #CitizenScience successes thru programs like @Foldit, @the_zooniverse, & my favorite, @NASA. Data used was from ALL ages - students can impact science research in a meaningful way. I wish more teachers used it w/their students. #EinsteinFellows20
A2: One of the best things about #CitizenScience is that it's available to anyone of any age. This gives e1 a seat at the table, allowing them to impact science in their own neighborhood. At the same time, it helps them grow their science skills & interest.
#EinsteinFellows20
A1: #CitizenScience connects scientists w/people everywhere, making #STEM accessible. It helps scientists, but it more importantly gets people excited to do real science. This working together has led to some great discoveries!

Intro: Hi, I'm Steve and I'm a science coach in St. Johns County, FL. I like to use eBird (@Team_eBird) for citizen science. It helps me id birds (which I'm not good at) and provide data for scientists. Great way to get outside! #EinsteinFellows20
