My inbox is full right now after we aired a story this week about a parking enforcement company called PRRS. It started with a tip from a Denver attorney about a problem at a parking lot in LoHi. Pretty quickly we found quite a few people who had the same problem... 🧵
Denver mistakenly ticketed a car in Grand Junction, then told the owner he’d have to drive 4 hours to Denver to fight it in court.
It’s time for the city to fix this gap it created with a budget cut last year. Currently all you can do is go to court to fight a ticket.
UPDATE: Denver’s Office of Emergency Management tells me that the city’s tornado sirens were sounded inadvertently. This is the latest in a long string of emergency notification errors by the City of Denver.
NEW: Denver's tornado sirens just sounded. 9NEWS Meteorologist @BianchiWeather says there is no current tornado threat in the city. There is severe weather east of Denver. I'm gathering more info on what happened.
For months now, I’ve gotten tips about a company pitching a “free e-bike” using a Colorado state tax credit. But many haven’t gotten their bike after paying the sales tax.
We’re still digging in - but we’re getting some odd answers.
Claude Lemieux's family say that they've chosen to donate his brain to the UNITE Brain Bank at the Boston University CTE Center for research into the long-term effects of repetitive head impacts and traumatic brain injury.
"The family emphasizes that this decision is a gift to science, to athletes and to future generations of families seeking answers. No conclusion should be drawn at this time regarding any diagnosis."
This stings probably the most. More than losing to Seattle in the first round…
More than 4 straight to Vegas in 21.
More than that Mikko hat trick in Game 7 last year.
Best team on paper this generation’s seen - just completely disappears. #GoAvsGo
And by best team - I mean this franchise’s generation - not in all of hockey, of course. IMHO this team looked better on paper than 2022. But paper doesn’t mean anything.
It’s like this team completely forgot how to defend on the weeklong break. I’m astounded.
This Vegas team looks hungry. This Avs team looks scared. #GoAvsGo
BREAKING: After a 50 minute executive session, Hudson’s town council votes to waive all tickets issued by the northbound camera on County Road 49 and will refund drivers who already paid.
That’s 31,353 tickets - totaling more than $1.2 million.
🚨 DATA IS OUT: A single temporary photo radar camera in Hudson appears to have issued 31,353 speeding tickets in a matter of weeks, collecting $666k so far (estimated $1.2M total issued).
We’ve seen plenty of those comeback games in the regular season. But that may be one of the most impressive playoff performances I’ve ever seen. #GoAvsGo
