War is terrible.
While not a genocide this war has been a bloodbath. The Israelis say often, but not always, rightly that they try to reduce civilian casualties. That is cold comfort to the family who lost this fine man.
This war should not have entered into so lightly.

Masks work. Mitigations of almost any kind work. Even if they are done badly like they were at the beginning of the pandemic. What doesnât work is giving up and pretending everything is normal when it so obviously isnât. Wear a mask

I can barely say this but my brother is going to hospice tmrw. He had "pre-existing" issues, but his family infected him 4x with cvd. They're in denial. I'm very close to my brothers and this is killing me. I can't handle it. Wear a mask.

Sadly, this topic was permanently memory-holed after that.
