Looking forward to fully customising my party into their best FITS and Outfits. Just a shame that Aerith won’t be with them to realise her true potential as the Black Mage that she was born to be.
Function-Integrated Tactical Suitwear (FITS) allows you to change your characters’ combat style by equipping different outfits, each unlocking unique abilities and expanding your strategic options in Final Fantasy VII Revelation. Here's Cloud as a Warrior & Tifa as a Black Mage!

This was genuinely the hardest that I ever worked on releasing new content for LittleBigPlanet. It was the equivalent of releasing 10 different DLC Packs and writing/publishing over 40 separate DLC catalogue articles in a single week. 😅 And I loved every moment of it. 💙

Nice looking Mideel you got there. Would be a shame if something happened to it.
Introducing new regions in Final Fantasy VII Revelation - the Mideel Region, a lush tropical rainforest characterized by sweltering humidity and the Wutai Region, lined with beautiful architecture, characterized by vermilion-painted wooden structures and tiled roofs.

Sounds to me that there will be a "Midgar Region" that you can parachute down into, just like the rest of the regions. However parachuting into the city of Midgar directly will probably be just a cutscene, much like in the original game. And likewise entry to the slums will still be a side entrance via the surrounding region.
Is it possible to Jump from the Highwind all the way down to Midgar in Final Fantasy VII Revelation? Naoki Hamaguchi (@nhamaguc) answers this!👀 #FinalFantasyVIIRevelation #FinalFantasyVII

The way that the BBC has mishandled the Doctor Who brand since the departure of Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat should be studied for generations. Russell T Davies and the people in charge of this once beloved show should never be allowed to work in television again.
Today we’re announcing an update on plans for the future of Doctor Who. Read all about it on the Doctor Who website ➡️ bbc.in/4vzxDuI

But how long until bow wow wow, bow wow wow? 🐶
FF7 Revelation Director Hamaguchi says in a new Gamespark JP interview that you can obtain the Highwind in about 4-5 hours in from the beginning of the game. Once you obtain the Highwind, you can explore the world freely as you choose. You can follow the main story objectives, or you can choose to explore whatever you can in an area until you probably reach a point where the enemies become very difficult. Some players would then progress the main story to then come back another time while others might decide to challenge those harder enemy areas. How you play is entirely up to you. He says that it will probably be impossible to experience everything in your first playthrough though.

Whilst the dream has always been to ride around on my Gold Chocobo (Piko) with Ultima Weapon strapped to my back. I do hope that this outfit overlay system will also allow weapon models to be replaced, it would be a shame to not use all those Remake and Rebirth weapon models.
Naoki Hamaguchi confirms the character outfits from FF7 Rebirth will be available from the start of FF7 Revelation, including Tifa’s swim suit! He says there is a priority skin system in Revelation so you can keep the FITS job abilities and still change into the different outfits that you can obtain in the game. gamespark.jp/article/2026/06…

Sounds good to me, the Chapter Select feature of Rebirth was pretty much perfect for post-game replays. Just hope the game doesn’t launch with Streamlined Progression cheats to make all this optional hard mode content and its rewards meaningless.
Naoki Hamaguchi says FF7 Revelation will have more post-game content than Rebirth, including content that is stronger than the final boss battle such as the Weapons and Knights of the Round! He says there will also be a chapter select option as you won’t be able to experience everything in a single play through gamespark.jp/article/2026/06…

How did we manage to end up with several Hojo Laboratories that nobody wanted, but there wasn't enough room to include Bone Village?
En su última entrevista a RPGSite, Naoki Hamaguchi confirma que Ciudad Huesos no aparecerá en #FF7R Revelation.

Red XIII as the new Queen’s Blood protagonist is fine by me. I always wished in Rebirth that there was a little more party member diversity in the minigames, rather than just giving the vast majority of them to Cloud.
We have new details on Queen's Blood in Final Fantasy VII Revelation, including its new protagonist: gameinformer.com/preview/202…

It would be really cool, if there was some way for Revelation to pull my completed Johnny’s Seaside Inn Treasure Trove from my Rebirth save file. Just so that Revelation can also display all of my achievements from Rebirth, to one day show 100% completion of the Remake Trilogy.

No Bone Village in Revelation is a surprise, although I agree not entirely mandatory. Would be the kind of location and activity that would be nice to add post-launch via DLC though.

I’m more concerned about having to wait the several months beforehand for Revelation to be in my hands. 😅
Naoki Hamaguchi says you get the Highwind around 5-6 hours of gameplay into FF7 Revelation and from there you can already access around half of the entire world map! "Roughly, from starting the game, if you play for around 5-6 hours you can acquire the Highwind. At around that timing you can access close to half the world map from the start." youtube.com/live/XPKk-cZ0g80…

Okay… But how do they get back onboard the Highwind? Will be interested to find out how they do that.
In a seamlessly connected open world, Cloud and his companions take to the skies aboard the airship Highwind, embarking on a sweeping journey across the world as a crisis looms over the planet. The entire planet is freely explorable & players can drop in via parachute anywhere.

Chadley and MAI are both welcome aboard my Highwind and I’m happy to have them both there.
Naoki Hamaguchi says you acquire the Highwind about 5-6 hours into Final Fantasy VII Revelation. This gives you immediate access to about half of the world map. Also, Chadley's base is inside the Highwind. He is doing research on Meteor. Source: Giant Bomb

If Cid is considered the aerial version of Red XIII, then that doesn’t bode well for Cid. Since Red XIII is the only character in Rebirth that I could never create a build that I was totally happy with. Either another character performed the role better, it was a very risky strategy, or it was totally superseded by a standard materia build. So I would hope that Cid doesn’t have similar issues.
We got more details on new playable characters Vincent and Cid’s combat in FF7 Revelation! Vincent: - Gun slinger who can switch back and forth between his normal form and beast mode at the press of a button - Normal mode is ranged attacks - Beast mode is melee attacks - Feels good to play as - Similar to Yuffie being able to fight with her Shuriken in hand for close range or thrown out for long range. Cid: - Lance weapon Dragoon style character - Skilled at aerial combat - More technical character - Attack variation changes based on button inputs - Has strong support abilities - Good at teleporting and stabbing with his lance - Has area of effect attacks - Satisfying to play as once you get the hang of it - Has the FF Dragoon Jump attack - Like an aerial version of Red XIII - If Red XIII is a ground type, then Cid is an aerial type attacker with a support role too.

I do hope that @SquareEnixBooks can publish the official English release of Dear Destiny in plenty of time for Revelation. 👀

Like the look of the new FITS system for Revelation introducing job classes to your party. But will be interested to see if it's actually worth it to turn a character like Tifa into a Black Mage or is it just more beneficial to fully optimise her towards her innate Monk class.

This all sounds very good. But if a player chooses to skip a minigame. Then I hope that it doesn’t still award them any of the cosmetics or other in-game trophies or achievements from the skipped minigame. Rewards need to be “earned” to still feel rewarding to the rest of us.
Naoki Hamaguchi says regardless of feedback, he refused to reduce the number of minigames in Final Fantasy VII Revelation: "The request to reduce the number of minigames is a difficult one. I have a very clear policy that I don’t want to change, no matter how much feedback we receive. After all, the original FFVII had an enormous number of minigames. This remake series exists because of the original game, and respecting the original is one of our core policies. More than in previous installments, we’ve made it so that you don’t have to engage with minigames if you don’t want to. For example, when it comes to minigames tied to battle progression, players who wanted to focus on combat ended up feeling forced to play them. To address that, minigame rewards are now largely unrelated to combat progression. Instead, they offer things like character skins and customization options, so that only those who want to play them are encouraged to do so. Meanwhile, battle progression and the like are tied more closely to combat-oriented side content. Overall, I think the game is much more comfortable to play than past entries. That said, I imagine there will always be players who dislike a particular minigame but still want its rewards. To help with that, we’ve added difficulty settings specifically for minigames. So now you can lower the difficulty to “Easy” if you wish, and if you try a minigame and immediately decide it’s a lost cause, you can also skip it right away. We’ve made a number of improvements aimed at minimizing frustration. In that sense, we’ve done everything we reasonably can. We won’t reduce the number of minigames, but we will continue making every effort to ensure as many players as possible can embrace them." automaton-media.com/en/inter…
