Very excited to join the many conservative fighters getting behind @AGAlanWilson as our next Governor!!
I'm honored to have the support of Rep. @StevenLongSC, a principled conservative leader who has consistently fought for lower taxes, parental rights, constitutional freedoms, and limited government.
Steven has been a strong voice for South Carolina families and a leader on emerging issues like cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
I'm grateful for his endorsement and proud to have him standing with our campaign as conservatives from every corner of our state come together around results, not the status quo.
Let's finish the job.

Does “now is not the right time” mean 3 weeks from now will be a different time..?
I will introduce, or cosponsor, legislation requiring the Lt Gov pick to be chosen prior to the primaries.
This is not a criticism of anyone, but these are fair questions voters have.
What a week! It was incredibly humbling to be mentioned as a potential Lieutenant Governor candidate by the greatest President in American history.
Virginia and I have had an amazing year. We have successful careers, and our family is happy and healthy. We thank God every day for our two young children, and we love raising them in South Carolina. We know how quickly the years fly by, and we cherish every minute.
I've been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends, neighbors, colleagues, and even strangers encouraging me to run for public office, but now is simply not the right time for me to be considered for Lieutenant Governor. I am Team Evette all the way, and Pamela will be a fantastic governor.
Thank you to everyone who encouraged and supported me and my family. I'm confident that, with Pamela Evette as our governor, South Carolina's best days are ahead.

You may have received a Census letter in the mail. This is not a scam, this is legit. This is an important "test run" for the 2030 census, and it will also provide helpful information.

The census determines important things like congressional apportionment (perhaps SC can pick up another seat in 2030!), community qualification for various programs, and more.

Today the House passed S32 establishing tax credits for donations to pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes, & support for trafficking victims.
As Sub-Chairman, I had the privilege of helping steer it through the process & getting it finalized.

These organizations provide critical services to those who need it most. Diapers, formula, testing, ultrasounds, clothes, housing, & more. They help reduce burden on public services to support the community. They also help build on our culture of life, in a collaborative way.

I’m grateful to the Senate for sending us the bill, Speaker Smith for supporting it, Chairman Bannister for bringing it up, & all House Reps for standing together on such an important issue. I’m especially glad to have earned unanimous support after some opposition in committee.

South Carolina lawmakers deserve credit for strengthening the path to income tax rate reduction and eventual elimination.
🚨 The S.C. House has PASSED the H.4216 income tax reform bill, which now heads to the Governor’s desk for signature.
H.4216 establishes two new tax brackets (1.99% up to $30,000 and 5.21% for anything above), eliminates all standard and itemized deductions, and adds a graduated deduction of up to $30,000 for those earning under $110,000.
Also conditionally lowers the top marginal tax rate until it reaches 1.99%, then lowers the total tax rate until it reaches 0%.
