Imagine you pour your heart out in a work of love. Now imagine there are people, so full of hatred and poison, they attack your work, and attack you for wanting others to discover the beauty, inspiration, and healing found in it. But they only attack you, not others who share far less inspirational things.
Then imagine people who claim to be your friend, routinely hang out with those who attack you publicly.
It is not hard to grasp, if you'll be open to seeing it, why I came to understand there are groups who work to make people never listen to me, to undermine me, and why, many who claimed to be with me, were never with me. To attack a story about overcoming obstacles, dealing with parental abandonment, faith over fear, and hope over despair reveals what is in the heart of the attackers.
I watch behaviors, not words. And anyone claiming "apes together strong" while spewing poison at me for writing a hope-filled, real-life-inspired work of uplifting fiction, well, they aren't actually here for togetherness, and have nothing of value to offer me or any of you. They're here for manipulation and control.
So I walked a lonelier path, and I am far happier for it. Join me if you dare to stand up to the crowd
PS - I'm very proud of Strong Like Wildflowers, and hope some of you will give it a chance. It has a very high rating on Amazon, and I do not think it will disappoint. :-)
Love to all the real ones, justice to all the liars.
