@hdi4nigeria If schools must reopen in this period of active spread of COVID-19, they must reopen safely. There must be a clear plan #EducationFunds

I think we need to walk the talk by taking education to the global level in Nigeria. It goes beyond annual commemoration of GAWE but taking stock of how far has the needle moved? What have we achieved in the last one year - nationally, state and local levels?

The pandemic has affected the free flow of basic education. We need to find a way to reach out to marginalized students in riverine areas to ensure they are not left out from continuous learning.

The DSS DG was sacked for invading the legislature when Osibanjo was acting President and today, all we get from the Presidency is a clear dictator's defence of the DSS after they committed a bigger sacriledge.

Every society has 5 sacred spaces: 1. Schools 2. Places of worship 3. Hospitals 4. Burial places for its protectors; & 5. Courts. #BokoHaram is taking out 1 & 2 to fill 3 & 4, while govt is taking out No. 5. What is left endangers everyone, including those orchestrating this.

Forget your political affiliation, what happened to Sowore today is an attack on your freedom and dignity as a Nigerian citizen. It should never happen. It is a disgrace on the Nigerian government and it should never be allowed to stand! #FreeSoworeNow #FreeSoworeAlready !

I still believe that one day ... when we are truly ready, a new dawn would arise over our nation & this season of darkness will pass, and everything that is going on now will only become lessons in our history books. FD #RespectForTheRuleofLaw #FreeSoworeNow #FreeSowore
