Ditto for the UK. We can (probably) do net zero; but at an unreasonably high cost to people, businesses and our way of life.

Politicians pushed the biggest changes to our economy and way of life through with minimal to no debate. Net zero has no democratic legitimacy. It will make us poorer and less free, and will not stop extreme weather.
