What I love most about web3 is that people have genuine skin in the game.
They really care.
The gap between projects and their community closes in a way I never saw in twenty years of building in web2.
For many of my years working with brands in sport, music, events and fashion, they all faced the same problem. Modern marketing kept expanding with opportunities to grow awareness while shrinking when it came to building genuine engagement with their audience.
Any brand today can buy awareness. But outside of IRL nothing exists that offers genuine engagement.
Then web3 showed me what I had been looking for. The secret sauce was right there. Communities with skin in the game, rallying around every announcement, loyal in ways web2 brands only dream about. I went deep trying to bottle that in a way thats palatable for web2.
