This Perspective revisits how that idea emerged, the experimental path that led to it, and how the field evolved from those early results. It also helps clarify aspects of the early history that have become blurred over time.

Big solar scoop this morning. @SwiftSolarPV is about to mount the U.S.'s last, best attempt to be a massive player in the solar industry.
It has acquired a bunch of tech assets, IP and key people from Meyer Burger, the onetime Swiss/German solar giant. The old stuff will be paired with Swift's perovskite solar tech in a bid to try and outflank China's solar industry with more efficient, cheaper cells.
