The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and Strathmore University today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in regulatory science, research, innovation, capacity building, and regulatory systems strengthening.
The MoU was signed by PPB Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ahmed I. Mohamed and Strathmore University Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, Prof. Izael Da Silva.
The partnership will support joint research, regulatory science training, local pharmaceutical manufacturing, medication therapy management, innovation, knowledge management, and regulatory systems strengthening.
The collaboration aims to advance regulatory excellence, foster innovation, enhance regulatory compliance, and improve access to quality, safe, and effective health products and technologies in Kenya.
The signing marks the beginning of a strategic partnership that will translate research and innovation into practical solutions that strengthen healthcare regulation and public health outcomes.
