For me, a lot of the authors I discovered/connected with I came across while researching for โI am Your Champion!โ
Some names I really recommend (in addition to Ian Douglass!) are Steven Johnson, Greg Klein, & Tim Hornbaker. @tonyrichards4 is another historian to listen to!
How do you find these books on wrestling? I'm looking to compile an extensive list going beyond the Scott Teals and Jon Langmeads of the world, no disrespect to those historians.
Print is dead and the future form of the Post-Gazette may not feature a physical paper at all, but Iโm glad to have gotten my grandfather in there at last. Heโs been in books and dissertations but never the hometown paper

I can't believe they actually did it. Page 31 of the Spring edition of Celtic Life International includes an interview with me about my latest book, "Highland Games and Hippodromes: Scottish Identity and Influence at the Dawn of the American Pro Wrestling Industry."
I'm still not convinced this isn't an April Fool's Day joke. ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

This book was eye-opening about so many important figures lost to history
Ian Douglass unearthed the significance of many Black wrestlers and placed them into proper context
Neal Flanagan & I had a chance to speak with him about "A Decided Novelty."
