It was great to catch the new painted new F15-E departing RAF Lakenheath today. The design was created as a symbol to those who answered the call during Operation El Dorado in 1986.

Something I didnโt even think about on my visit was seeing the operational readiness of RAF Fairford.
Aircraft, munitions, and ground equipment sit ready for use at a momentโs notice around many of the aircraft currently based there. It's quite the sight.

The 48th Fighter Wing based at RAF Lakenheath have unveiled a new painted F-15 Strike Eagle commemorating Operation El Dorado Canyon ๐บ๐ธ๐ฌ๐ง
A fantastic design to see on a Eagle, and one that honours their legacy very well!
