Really pleased to see this is now out. Congratulations to Beppe Pezzini on pulling this collection together. I have a piece in there on Smith and #Tolkien's war poetry! @engfac @ExeterCollegeOx link.springer.com/book/10.10…

Really looking forward to this. What promises to be a much-needed study of the rise of occultism in the 20th century by Felix Taylor (who I had the pleasure to co-supervise for his doctorate).

I wrote this play in 2006 - it was meant to be a dystopian vision of the US in the light of G W Bush, but it seems a far more innocent time back then than now. It won the 2007 Oxford Playhouse Award and is aimed at KS3 or 11-16 year olds: youtube.com/watch?v=wW9UyKHr…

Basic plot summary: two refugees hiding in attic (re Anne Frank). A downed RAF pilot breaks in to hide from troops outside. It was meant to be a warning of what could happen if things went too far, not a prediction.

Just noticed this doc on #Tolkien is being repeated on Arte TV (I have a small part in there but lots of contributions from a range of excellent Tolkien scholars): arte.tv/en/videos/115010-000…

Hey @British_Airways when I book a return flight with you leaving T5 at LHR I expect you to be dropped back at T5 by a BA plane not at T4 by Vueling meaning I have to get a train to the central bus station. I look forward to your reply.

Hey @SpringerNature - your 'Author Support' is beyond dreadful. I've been waiting 8 months for a simple answer and, when you bother to reply, have received garbled responses. The latest gem is you will respond 'after July 22nd'. August? December? 2028? 3001?

Those of you with fond memories of our #Tolkien exhibition 'Tolkien Maker of Middle-earth' or who weren't able to make it may enjoy this video tour of the exhibition highlights: youtube.com/watch?v=NysI02G9…
Tolkien: Maker of Middle-earth was a truly brilliant exhibition that I visited twice at @bodleianlibs in 2018. There are too many favorites to list, but I particularly enjoyed seeing Pauline Baynes’s iconic poster-map of Middle-earth, a collaboration between Baynes and Tolkien.
