Philippe Crist on fire🔥 at @VelocitySeries He says cars have appropriated streets and public space. Dropping bike infra into a car-centric society isn’t enough. We need a deep rooted people-centric approach, taking away space for cars, both in our minds and on our streets #VC23

In Denmark and the Netherlands, more women cycle than men, enabled by networks that support their transport needs. To enable more women to cycle on mass in the UK we need to build networks that meet the needs of women and move far beyond a focus on commuters #IWD2022 #BikeIsBest

It's futile to encourage cycling without providing protected lanes. Survey of 4,000 Australians: "More than 3/4 are interested in riding a bike, but only in infrastructure that separates people from cars (i.e. off-road paths or protected bike lanes)." theconversation.com/3-in-4-p…

We've kept up our progress on making our streets safer for everyone who uses them despite the pandemic. This includes protected bike lanes on some of our most traveled corridors. We've now created a comprehensive network of protected bike lanes in SoMa.
