3 years ago a group of us got together & established @future_lidos. A successful @HeritageFundUK application enabled us to build a #lido toolkit to help campaigners across the #UK & #Ireland. Today it’s gone live! Enjoy. #lidos #futurelidos futurelidos.org/home

šŸŠšŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøMore lido-related good news: The Category A listed Tarlair Pool in Aberdeenshire (1929-31) has to be one of the most spectacular bathing spots in the British Isles. After a decade long community campaign, in 2024 the Art Deco pavilion & cafe will be restored by @StudioOctopišŸ‘šŸ»
"I just don't take 'no' for an answer. The more people said that it wouldn't work, the more I wanted to make it happen. And look at us now." An exciting year ahead for #Tarlair, with the cafe and pavilion to re-open after a decade of community action. buff.ly/3RZxmPB

Bringing historic pools back into use isn’t quick or easy, but it’s a journey we are committed to because groups like the Friends Of Tarlair have shown it’s possible. If you’d like to get involved please get in touch.
