Their offense is good, but I have serious questions about their midfield and especially their defense. Everyone hears “Van Djik” and immediately assumes that the Dutch are perfect defensively. Well, he’s getting older and their backline has not been great for a couple years now. I think Japan’s high press and fast attack style match up perfectly with Netherlands defense and midfield. Their midfield is great athletically and they’re not particularly great passers either. I see a 2-2 game here. Saturday World Cup Collab ⚽️ with @Schmacker1 1u- Brazil/Morocco u2.5 (-135) I debated playing Morocco 1 in this game, but decided to go with the under instead. Morocco is without attacker Abde Ezzalzouli for the tournament. He had 10 goals and 8 assists in La Liga this season and was poised for a breakout at the World Cup. I am lower on Brazil than most people for this tournament because of their lack of talent compared to the past. They have been knocked out in the QFs of the last 2 World Cups with SIGNIFICANTLY more talent than they have on the roster right now. Not only that, but Qatar might be the worst team in the tournament. They hosted the World Cup in 2022 and were the 2nd host nation EVER to not make it out of the group stage. They simply are a bad team, and the Swiss have a great opportunity to take early command of the group after Canada and Bosnia drew 1-1 yesterday.
