This is why LCE demand is more than supply. #BESS takes lots of LCE #Lithium $VLTLF $LIB.v
In May our #BESS tracker surpassed 10,000 projects... this accounts for over 3TWh of utility-scale BESS, online and in the pipeline. 📈 The database has grown rapidly, the first 5,000 projects accounted for 1TWh of BESS, meanwhile the second 5,000.... nearly 2TWh! #battery

$VLTLF $LIB.v the world is never going to stop pumping oil… which in turn provides a great source of Lithium for the energy storage revolution
AI and data centers are making lithium a bigger story than EVs alone. OilPrice recently highlighted LibertyStream’s produced-water lithium model in the Permian Basin and its role in U.S. critical-mineral supply: oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-G… $LIB.V $VLTLF

$VLTLF $LIB.v For decades, Silver Peak, Nevada was the only commercial lithium production operation in the United States. LibertyStream has now demonstrated U.S. extraction and U.S. refining of lithium carbonate from Permian produced water, creating a second domestic source and the first new domestic lithium carbonate production system in decades. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

And just as expected, & what we’ve been waiting for, $LIB.v $VLTLF is finally stepping into the spotlight they deserve for their innovation and fastest‑moving progress in the #DLE space. After the big feature on Oilprice.com, now okenergytoday.com is following up with its own coverage: The Permian Basin - a growing lithium source?" This is exactly the kind of US exposure that accelerates recognition of @LibertyStreamIP's leadership & the scale of what they’re building. H/t @ArneriDesign okenergytoday.com/2026/05/th…

$VLTLF $LIB.v this video will help understand why the CapX and time lines are so long to build out these massive plants… the scale is massive. This is projected to do around 50k TPA LCE
When major Chinese companies invest, they invest BIG. This is Prospect Lithium Zimbabwe @LithiumPlz in Goromonzi, Zimbabwe. China’s Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt owns the operation and is one of Africa’s largest hard-rock lithium processing projects...

The game-changing difference between $LIB.v $VLTLF & traditional #DLE players like SLI or Albemarle? 💰 Big DLE companies: Just like mining companies, invest $1B - $2B CapEx upfront. Wait 5-10 years for revenue. ⚡ $VLTLF: Just like Oil & Gas style model! Build Unit 1, start producing & use the revenue to fund Unit 2 & then 3 & keep growing 📈 No risk of central plant that might stop working! This approach cuts CapEx, accelerates returns, and unlocks faster deployment. The future of lithium isn't mining... it's integration. #Lithium #Mining #Energy #Sustainability #OilGas

$VLTLF $LIB.v This project for $META will take around 900 Tonne of Li2CO3… for just ONE project… adding to the already large forecasted deficit. Hey @Tesla, where are you getting all that Li2CO3??
Meta will use ~$200 million of @Tesla Megapack batteries to help power their AI datacenters in Wyoming. This is another example of Tesla Energy becoming critical infrastructure for the AI boom.

$VLTLF $LIB.v Okay, so we talked about the large overview and how the water flows through the site in the post below. Now let’s talk about where the magic actually happens…
$VLTLF $LIB.v I was trying to figure out how to talk about this trip, then I realized… why not just take y’all on the same tour I took. Just via X. So first stop was the trailer for PPE gear and the safety brief. That means long sleeves, pants, coveralls for the “tourists,” steel toe caps if you don’t have boots, eye protection, hard hat, and a gas monitor. Honestly, the gas monitor made it feel the most real. H2S is serious and absolutely has to be respected. The safety brief covered muster points, chemical “don’t touch” areas, hot “don’t touch” areas, stay clear of cranes, keep your head and eyes up, and if the gas monitor goes off and the windsock is moving… walk into the wind. Also watch for rattlesnakes, or “nope ropes” as I call them. I’m sure I missed a few things, but the message was clear: the site is accident free, and they plan on keeping it that way. (Trailer circles in blue)

The inbound water first flows through a basic media filter. Simple in concept, but pretty smart in practice. It’s the last cleanup and protection layer before the rest of the system. Kind of a safety gate before the real work starts. From there the water stages in tanks and begins the DLE process. There are a lot of moving pieces and a lot of variables being controlled. Water temperature, pH balance, flow rates, pressures. Honestly it almost felt like a giant high-tech aquarium system. Instead of protecting fish and optimizing their environment, they’re optimizing the environment to remove lithium from the water. Everywhere you look there are pumps, gauges, control systems, water moving from one vessel to the next. DLE in the simplest terms is basically the water flowing through the media where the lithium gets “stuck” while the rest of the water keeps moving. Once the media is loaded up, the lithium gets washed back out, the media resets, and the cycle repeats. That output stream, called eluate, gets collected into storage tanks. At that point it’s essentially lithium chloride solution waiting for the final refining stage. (The photo below is basically just the refinery part (ie the mad lab). The DLE is in addition, and for good reasons I’m not putting up photos of that setup)

And then you hit the “refinery.” Honestly this part felt less like an industrial plant and more like some kind of mad scientist lab. Breaking Bad on steroids. Shiny stainless tanks, pipes everywhere, electrical systems, control panels, stairs going up and down in every direction. The eluate moves from the front end of the process to the back end, transforming from liquid feedstock into fluffy white lithium carbonate powder at the end. What really stood out to me was how customizable the final product can be. People focus on “battery grade” lithium, but it’s not just about hitting 99.5% purity. What matters just as much is what makes up the remaining 0.5%. Too much sodium, magnesium, calcium, or other impurities and customers don’t want it. What impressed me most is how much control LibertyStream appears to have over the final specification. They can dial the chemistry in based on what a customer actually needs. After seeing the refining side in person, I walked away with zero doubts about the company’s ability to produce lithium carbonate and tailor the spec to customer requirements. (This photo is a super small part of the whole system… imagine dozens and dozens and dozens of this type of gear everywhere!)
