A mentally challenged man attended a wedding ceremony uninvited in Assam.
He quietly joined the guests for food, and nobody questioned him.
Before leaving, he took out ₹10 from his torn pocket and placed it in the bride’s hand as shagun 🥹❤️
🐢 Happy #WorldTurtleDay 🌍
Turtles have survived for millions of years, but today they face threats from pollution, plastic waste & climate change.

The news currently going viral from Keonjhar district in Odisha is actually from my local area.
Many people are blaming the government and bank officials, but the situation is more complex [1]
As per procedure, the bank had clearly asked for a death certificate and proper nominee verification before releasing the money. These rules are necessary to prevent fraud and ensure accountability.
In this case, the concerned uncle was informed about the requirement of a (2)
Death Certificate, but he did not follow the proper process or seek guidance to complete the formalities.
This incident highlights the need for better guidance and support at the local level so that such situations can be avoided in the future.
Odisha man digs up sister’s skeleton, walks 3 km with it to bank to claim the ₹19,300 in her account. Bank needed proof of her death. Kudos to @vedikas for picking up a story that everyone has now woken up to.
