The Fallen Kingdom operation has resulted in 20 indictments. Among those arrested were a third-grade teacher conducting drug deals from the classroom and many members of the Rich Kingz gang.
This operation involved several agencies. Among them, the Sugar Land Police Department.
HEAT ADVISORY:
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today, the National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning with heat indexes that may exceed 115°F.
Minimize your time outside, stay hydrated, and keep a watchful eye on kids and pets. DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN/PETS IN THE CAR.
The Texas Department of Transportation (@TxDOTHouston) will implement the following closures on Monday (8/05) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday (8/06).
Two (2) outside lanes of southbound US59/IH69.
One (1) inside lane of the southbound frontage road will be closed overnight from University Blvd to Riverbrook Dr.
In addition, TxDOT will close the US 59/69 Southbound Frontage Road (just south of University) and the existing bridge entrance ramp for 12 months. A temporary entrance ramp has been placed just south of University Blvd to maintain access to the US 59/IH 69 main lanes.
Please be mindful of work crews, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area. Visit its.sugarlandtx.gov for current traffic conditions in Sugar Land. Additionally the Houston Transtar website has a live map of closures in the Houston area. Closure dates may change due to inclement weather.

CenterPoint power outage, Sugar Land non-emergency public safety phones not operational. 911 calls being routed to secondary public safety dispatch center. CenterPoint aware of issue. Please restrict 911 calls to emergencies only until service is restored.
Major Accident: US 59 Southbound over Hwy 90A has all lanes except the far right lane shut down. Please expect delays in the area. This is expected to last 2 to 3 hours
