Facing Online Hate Workshop Join Marc-Alexandre Ladouceur from MediaSmarts for a workshop examining how the internet is used to spread and incite hate, how radicalization occurs, and how youth encounter hate online both through traditional hate sites and “cultures of hatred”.

The workshop also provides strategies for building critical thinking skills in young people to help them understand the nature of online hate, how they may be targets and how to respond appropriately when bias, stereotyping and hatred are encountered online.

On Thursday May 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., we invite parents/caregivers who have newly registered their Kindergarten student at Summerside to come and visit the classrooms, meet some of the educators and other new families, and play together in the Kindergarten yard.

Due to icy road conditions in rural areas all school buses & school vans are cancelled for today Friday February 10, 2023. Schools are open, however parents/guardians are responsible for transportation of students attending open schools at the end of the day.
