Things are ramping up for the Stouffville Youth Park. Students met with Councillor Sue Sherban, and the Director of Leisure Services, Sunny Bains. We are now focused on our next steps. At this time we have representatives from many schools offering their suggestions.

We are now focused on our next steps, which included, budgeting, location options, what goes into naming a park and the timeline for building our youth park. We are excited for the future of our Project! Our planning committee has grown and we have representatives from each school offering their ideas and suggestions to make this a park inclusive to all youths ages 12 to 18.
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, York Region District School Board is cancelling Summer Institute programming this summer. This is in line with public health guidelines.

We have received notice from the Minister of Education that the current closure of all ON schools will be extended until at least May 29. This is in an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. All #YRDSB schools will be closed during this time.

While schools remain closed due to #COVID19, Ontario has announced financial support for parents.
The new Support for Families will give parents with children ages 0-12 a one-time payment of $200/child.
