LOOP OR NOT LOOP…
Had loads of questions re if they should loop Teddy or not but many coaches are confused on how best 17 & AE works with
#NRLSupercoach
Let me explain: (long msg)
* Every week you actually choose 18 players
* Highest 17 of those 18 scores remain & lowest one drops out (best 17).
* So to loop Teddy (VC) you bring in a non playing player (eg NZ) from the bench & C him
* As your new C scores 0pts (NZ on bye) your VC score doubles (Teddy)
* As your C didn’t play you receive an AE also, which will be the lowest scoring player you didn’t reserve from your bench - so that you still have 18 scoring players!! (See 1st note)
* However SC is best 17 so your AE or whoever is your lowest score from 18 players drops back out again (see note 2).
* If you already have a player in your 18 selected that has scored very low eg 15pts & you loop, if the new AE scores a 20 you will keep that 20 & the 15 will drop out. Best 17.
* If your lowest score currently is 50 & you loop & AE is 20 then your lowest score eg 20 will drop straight back out again.
* However if you have a low score eg 15 in your team already and you don’t loop, if that 15 remains the lowest score of your 18 selected players it will drop out as its best 17 scores that count.
Hope this helps.
