šØ TOP 5 AVG POINTS CONCEDED BY POSITION šØ
This post is a sneak peek into what the opening 11 rounds of the NRL season looked like from a positional points conceded perspective.
Unlike standard averages, these numbers have been manually tracked and adjusted to account for factors that can heavily skew data including:āØā¢ Goal kickingāØā¢ Injury-related positional switchesāØā¢ HIAsāØā¢ Sin binsāØā¢ Mid-game positional changesāØā¢ Bench/interchange movement
The result is what I believe to be the most accurate positional points conceded averages available.
One thing you'll notice is the absence of FRF data. Due to the constant rotation of middle forwards and the difficulty accurately assigning points conceded to individual front row roles, I've excluded the position to maintain the integrity of the data.
From this week onwards, these averages will be updated every week and published in my weekly article on Ballr.live. In this article I'll break down the latest trends, best matchups and SuperCoach implications heading into each round.

NRL SUPERCOACH REVIEW - ROUND 9 š
Only just realised I hadnāt posted for round 9 so my apologies for the lateness. Last week turned out to be a bit rough, Lemuelu purchased didnāt race out of the barrier with a banger of a score but canāt determine if itās a success or failure until the bye period scores come. Along with that Mooney outscoring Hau by 100 points was annoying as my NPR but thatās just what happens.
Looking forward I need to find an option for Hau, not set on whether I go up or down yet. Latrell will be a hold for me this week with Faeamani out to a Newcastle option, I can go to Marzhew, Lucas, or Sharpe.

NRL SUPERCOACH TEAM UPDATE - Round 9
Tough decisions this week. The first trade was between Duncan and Isaako but with Bostock moving to the centres it became an easy choice. Missing the big one for Duncan sucks but he was averaging well in his 80 minute role so he is still value at the price.
Second trade was much tougher, it was between Lemuelu/Wong/Willison/Fainu. I ultimately landed on Lemuelu for a few reasons. Firstly, the bye coverage is extraordinary for Lemuelu and as Iām low on trades getting in the best coverage is handy. Secondly, Lemuelu is known as an attacking second rower but this year he is only at 1 try scored but still averaging 64.7, Iām banking on him finding that attack again soon and pushing the 70 average mark.
Captaincy is currently on Cleary but itās realistically undecided between Cleary, Hynes, Latrell.

NRL SUPERCOACH REVIEW - ROUND 8 š
Out of the top 1k slightly but not at panic stations yet because I only had 17 players after trades last week. Was saved by my Sharks guns and Roosters purchases.
Have had some regrets over recent purchases, Preston over Duncan turned out to be a big stinker 2 weeks ago and now I wish I held Kini for the matchup this week.
Looking ahead, my numbers for the byes are solid except for Rd 13 and 18. Looking to move on Hudson Young and Joe Chan this round. Tallis Duncan the leading candidate along with potentially going pod with my second choice š

NRL SUPERCOACH TEAM UPDATE - Round 8
All out Roosters attack this week (excluding Marky Mark). I said after last week Iāll continue to target my side so I can at least feel some happiness with the outcomes and this week is no different. I heavily considered two alternative options which were Kini to Koula and Young to May but ultimately landed on the Walker trade. No boosts left so getting Walker in means I not only have a goalkicking HFB on a good run but means I have money in the kitty for next week. The extra benefit of bringing in Walker is the flexibility to move Cleary on in round 12 to anyone via the flex position.
Ultimately itās a weak 18 this round with the likes of Hudson, Sasagi, Hau, and Lisati out meaning the guns of Going and Flegler fame get a run. Need the pods to step up big time.

Okay so for the first time in history, base and B P include penalties and errors. The actual SuperCoach team doesnāt know how base and B P has been tracked the entire time

Dean Young revealed he personally delivered the news of Kade Reedās debut after being appointed Dragons interim coach, driving to the young playmakerās house to tell him heād be starting at halfback on Anzac Day.
āI got told by Tim and Andrew last night around 5.30 that Iām going to be head coach for the remainder of the season,ā Young said.
āFrom there, I went home to tell my wife to buckle up. I apologised to my three kids about whatās gonna happen next, and then I got into the car and drove over to Kade Reedās house and told him that heās about to make his debut.ā

NRL SUPERCOACH REVIEW - ROUND 7 š
Iāve made my bed and now Iām lying in it. I used my final boost when Noah Martin was benched, sold him to Preston thinking he could go 120 in the Parramatta matchup. Obviously things didnāt go that way and Martin wouldāve been a great hold now than Hudson is out for the foreseeable future but thatās just how SuperCoach goes sometimes. New purchase Latrell was enormous as C, then tons from Herbie, Sasagi, Faāalogo, and Cleary helped me crack 1500 and move up a handful of spots.
Going early on Lisati last week and already holding Couchman means I can turn my attention to guns this week and I will be doing the same tactic that worked well for me last week: buy players who are playing against the Dragons.

NRL SUPERCOACH TEAM UPDATE - Round 7
The Trbojevic injury solidified my trades this week. Originally was locked in on Holmes to Trell but was unsure which direction I wanted to go with the second, but now that I need to move on Turbo next week I wanted to get a head start by getting Lisati. That way my 2nd/3rd trade next week is open and Iām not forced into a Lisati move missing out elsewhere in my squad. Was very tempted to use my last boost but decided to just hold Joe Chan, although if he is benched/out then I will boost him to Preston, KPP, or Duncan.
