It’s altVM szn, and everyone’s hyped about MoveVM and MoveLang for good reason šŸ”„ Formal verification, resource-based design, real access control, safer memory management, and reentrancy protection. It’s a better way to manage assets on-chain than Solidity As the creator of Move @b1ackd0g from @Mysten_Labs said, "Move was designed to make assets first-class citizens." Its resource-oriented programming prevents double-spending and vulnerabilities EVM struggles with @AveryChing Cofounder and CTO of Aptos would agree that Move prioritizes safety, scalability, and an excellent developer experience At @SUPRA_Labs, we embraced Move early, back in the Facebook Libra/Diem days, when few saw its potential. Facebook has a strong history of contributing to groundbreaking programming languages, and our researchers were convinced Move was the future. Going against the consensus, we became the first to launch @Movecon_ by @MoveDAO_ , a dedicated conference for the Move ecosystem, with the inaugural event at ETH Denver in Feb 2022. Since then, we’ve hosted four Movecons, continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible with Move Here’s why we love Move: (with some fun analogies that poke at Solidity 😁) Formal verification: Move feels like coding with a built-in spell-check for logic—catching errors before they blow up. Solidity? It’s like writing without a safety net, just hoping you don’t miss something big Resource-based model: Assets in Move are treated like they’re in a secure vault—tracked down to every last bit. Solidity is like playing asset Tetris, hoping nothing falls through the cracks Ownership clarity: Think of Move as a digital passport—only the right person gets access. Solidity can feel like anyone who knows a shortcut can sneak in Memory management: Move is like driving with lane-assist—automatic safeguards keep memory issues in check. Solidity? You’re driving without a seatbelt Reentrancy protection: Move is a one-way gate—you get in, you finish. Solidity’s revolving door leaves too much room for sneaky exploits At @SUPRA_Labs, we’re building a MultiVM Layer 1 starting with MoveVM and EVM, followed shortly by SVM and CosmWasm Our core focus and building philosophy are rooted in vertical integration, scaling Layer 1 to its maximum potential while providing integrated oracle services such as price feeds, bridging, automation, and randomness @SUPRA_Labs container technology, which represents the ultimate evolution in chain abstraction, makes most L2s and appchains obsolete by offering dedicated compute and block space, eliminating fractured liquidity and complex bridging requirements. This approach ensures seamless scalability and security within the Supra ecosystem. With MoveVM as our foundation, we’re driving the next generation of smart contracts, offering unparalleled performance and developer flexibility to power the future of decentralized applications Cheers to the Move Builders šŸ‘ @SuiFoundation @Mysten_Labs @Aptos @movementlabsxyz @SUPRA_Labs

Tell me if I’m wrong, that most L2s exist cuz Ethereum didn’t scale L1.

TLDR: Supra is a move-based L1 that has developed its replacement for L2s - Containers. Giving the best of AppChains and L2s, but without the downside of fragmented liquidity. You can visualize it as containers within the L1, where the containers enable developers to manage DappSpace, including tokenomics, gas fees, and access rules for each of them. Supra has MultiVM support and native oracles, automation tools, and cross-chain communication support. They have raised $40m and are backed by Coinbase Ventures, HashKey Capital, Morningstar Ventures and Hashed . Disclaimer: I am an investor in @SUPRA_Labs

@AndreCronjeTech’s breakdown highlights some hefty costs—both initial and ongoing (I’ve seen similar fees and even higher firsthand). For RaaS providers, how do these figures hold up as projects scale? It’s easy to say ā€œpennies on the dollar,ā€ but I’m curious to see where the true savings come in, especially for more complex use cases

Supra testnet game transactions are real txs by KYC verified users only. No bots. No spam. Only humans. So far around 30k real verified humans have participated in our game and growing! We’re gonna ramp up automated tx by bots to stress test our network more. Those metrics will be separate than our game metrics. Will report those figure soon too.
