.@Plough Surazeus is the American Homer. I wrote Hermead Epic of Philosophers about lives of 26 ancient philosophers whose ideas laid foundation of academia at heart of western civilization essential to the American Spirit in the search for truth in 126,680 lines of blank verse.
In the Waste Land T.S. Eliot describes fragmentation of western civilization, so I wrote Hermead to depict the original development of academia over 600 year period in lives of 26 philosophers, in tales shaped similar to Faerie Queene, Canterbury Tales, and Shahnameh.
Thus when I meet the Stranger with four eyes
at signless crossroads by the empty pool,
I ask why every conscious creature dies,
so she gives me ripe apple of her heart
that writhes with golden serpent of desire,
and then I understand so much I laugh.
