Surus stands with Patrick Murck (@virtuallylaw) and 60 industry CEOs and founders urging Senate leaders to pass the Clarity Act with developer protections and the BRCA intact. This letter reflects the industry's view that developer protections are essential to any workable piece of crypto market structure legislation.
The BRCA is a narrow, commonsense clarification: a developer who does not control user funds is not a money transmitter.
Without the BRCA in its current form, market structure legislation fails to allow crypto innovation flourish here in the U.S. under clear, workable rules.
The Clarity Act without the BRCA is incomplete.
