Freetown's Peninsular Forest lost approx 750 ha of cover between Jan- Dec 2024, @WFPS_Leone analysis shows . So far, over 30% of the 18,000 ha national park has been degraded.  The park is heading for extinction and so is Freetown, if we don't dial back exploitation.
